hand gestures, head movements and body positioning; trust; intuition through
listening to what is said and not said; staying attuned to the energy in the
space; sensitivity; self-awareness of my inner dialogue and feeling ; support; education as you offer learned information;
openness to hear the pain and pleasure of the story; gentle honesty in sharing what you hear someone saying; silence; collaboration to draw on collective wisdom;
boundaries from the speaker as well as me the hearer; humor in being open to
hear their laughter; encouragement; finding comfort in silence; active
listening; conflict resolution within the self and with others; assessment in
order to craft a response.
