- About Us
- The TEAMS Institute was created as a ministry of NAPAS to respond to a need to provide college and career prep centers of recreation, entertainment and learning for underserved youth in rural counties during out of school, after school and the summer. NAPAS a 501 (c) (3) organization was founded in 1979 through the support of notable doctoral scholars at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. With one full time staff, ten contract staff and over 100 volunteers the group began it first development of a 21st Century Community Learning Center in McKenzie, Tennessee. The creation of this organization is our way of repaying those who exposed us to the rich world of careers in technology, engineering, the arts, medicine and science.
